It's safe to say that Deontay Wilder's trainer Malik Scott does not want to see Jake Paul fight Canelo.
Scott is not opposed to influencers taking up boxing, as he trains YouTuber Faze Temperrr who has previously fought KSI, but he doesn't like it when they call out legitimate boxers.

And that is something that Jake Paul has made a habit of, regularly pointing to the fact that one day he wants to become a world champion and fight Canelo.
"Whatever people entertain becomes the main topic and people actually entertain Jake Paul fighting Canelo," Scott explained on talkSPORT's White & Jordan show.
"This is hugely insulting to me.
"So, I don't really know how to entertain that mentally as much and I don't even count it, but when it comes to Youtubers fighting Youtubers and gamers fighting gamers, I'm with all that."

This was music to the ears of Simon Jordan, who wholeheartedly agreed, saying: "I'm not a particular fan of the representation of [influencer boxing] when it gets into the territory of people suggesting that Jake Paul should fight 'XYZ' person whose a real top fighter.
"When we start hearing a load of old nonsense like 'I'm going to fight Canelo Alvarez', I find that a bit wearing and unnecessary.
"I don't look at the YouTube world and think I want to watch Jake Paul or KSI fight, that's my view, other people do.
"I just don't like the fact that it starts crossing over in certain spaces and people give it more legitimacy than its entitled to."
