The reeling Commanders are shaking up their lineup and game day roster against the Eagles.
Washington’s offensive line features two new starters, center Tyler Larsen and guard Chris Paul. Larsen replaces Nick Gates, who struggled in recent games after signing a three-year free-agent contract this off-season. Larsen, a longtime backup, started eight games for the Commanders last season.
Paul made one appearance/start during his rookie season. The seventh-round pick battled Saahdiq Charles this summer for the starting job, but has been inactive for each regular season game. Charles was placed on IR this week with a calf strain.
Tight end Cole Turner is a healthy scratch for the first time this season as Washington went with FB Alex Armah, who was added to the active roster this week. Washington's run game has lagged all season so the fullback could be a new wrinkle to help Brian Robinson, Antonio Gibson and Chris Rodriguez find holes.
Other inactives include WR Mitchell Tinsley, TE Curtis Hodges, OT Trent Scott, CB Christian Holmes, DE KJ Henry, DE Andre Jones.
Good news is WR Curtis Samuel (foot) is active.
